Here is a plug for the CMS Watch ECM Suites Report.
Having met Alan Pelz-Sharpe at a couple of AIIM conferences and having followed his blog on doignitbetter, I was interested to see what he was up to when he moved from Wipro and appeared at CMS Watch as an analyst.
One of his main efforts over the last couple of years (apart from his analyst activities, presenting and overall blogging) has been in the area of developing the ECM Suites Report. The report is now in its second edition, which is quite a feat considering the relatively short time that Alan has had to get it all together and considering the day job activities that probably have got in the way.
What I like about the overall report is that it deals not just with the vendors but provides a view of the business case and when to write it. Introduces you to the ECM landscape and then looks into the players. It is finally great to see analyst content that is not the dry and boring "look these guys have paid me a lot of money therefore I need to say nice things" approach.
Having spoken to a number of the CMS Watch team I applaude their vendor independence that they seem to protect fiercely. This is jewel in rare demand and one that need to be closely guarded.
I encourage you to head over to the site and take a look for yourself. And as a final note, No I am not paid by CMS Watch and No my daughters rabbit is not being held hostage !
